Which of these two XC courses are better for a spooky horse?
I mean, which one has the least number of drop fences, scary streams with crocodiles in them, or ditches?? (trakehners are ok)

Also which has the smaller showjumping?
Thanks all!

Hmmm well, I'd tend to say Brockenhurst but the water at Brockenhurst is horrible, whereas Highclere's water is nice and inviting. Highclere can be a bit spooky, theres some nasty red/black zig-zags that loads stop at! Brockenhurst is a very straightforward course.

I haven't done brockenhurst but did Highclere a couple of years back.
On the whole I wouldn't say Highclere was spooky, the water was easy, there were no down steps and not even a real ditch ... there was a hanging log down hill to what they called a trakhener but the ditch wasn't a proper square dug one.
I was very scared of the red/black zig zag though ... thankfully J just hauled me over!

Lovely, really nice kind novice. Again, the water is a bit horrid but it's not difficult, it's just not a very inviting water jump!

You must all come to Brockenhurst to visit Shaab.. So there!

Brockenhurst is lovely on the whole, but as Boss said the water always causes a few probs. I always thought that the novice water was a lot harder (relative to N obviously being harder than PN!) than the PN though.

brockenhurst is one of the most straight forward pn ive seen, really inviting, they have a website which shows all the pics ithink from memory pop brockenhurst into google and have a look ! Would do it myself but im on the train ! - typing really loud !
Im doing the PN so it cant be that scary !
