Quick question, convert cms into hh

Measured Tinner today at 153cm (dead scientific, big spirit level on the wither, marked height off on an old plank!), I reckon that's a tad over 15.1hh, is that right?

I thought so but I double checked and it is not exactly 10 cm for 1 hand (it's 10.16 cm for 1 hand) so it comes up at 15hh

That's how I'd worked it out too, I hadn't realised 2.5cm wasn't exactly an inch.

My tape measure (inches one side and cm the other) shows 150cm as 59 inches almost exactly = 14.3hh - so 153 is about 15hh and1/4in

Working to 4 dp. I cm = 0.3973 inch so 153 cm = 60.2361 inch which in turn equals 15 hands and 1/4 inch (error =/- 0.02 inch)

WHP classes go in cms, yours at 153 is at the max height for the (old 15hh) 153 class
If you are 18 & under, you could do this

143 is 14hh etc etc
