I am looking at getting the Bates Webbers and I am in a quandry about which length to get. My current normal leathers are about 54 inch's and I am on the 4th/5th hole.

[which 54 / 2 = 27 + a bit for the iron depth]

So .. would it be safe to go for 28 inch dressage leathers?! Or should I go for 24's.

Thanks in advance - I know inch's can be rather important

I would go for the shorter ones. I'm 5 foot 8 inches and have farily long legs but always go for the shorter ones - you can always put them down a few holes but you don't want to buy the longer ones and then have to punch loads more holes in to make them short enough!

I'm assuming that 24/28 is the length of the leathers when at their longest, rather than shortest!
