im just about to pop to tack shop so any quick replies would be great. vet came out to look at princes wound and was very happy with how it was healing and said try and leave it uncovered so it can dry out and get a tight scab over it, well it was slightly puffy this morn so i text him and he said yep go back to bandaging. now i dont know wether to use gamgee (roll) and vet wrap. the pressure of the vet wrap moved the swelling better last time. or to put a dry dressing on and vet wrap or to stabe bandage with a gamgee pad. or to get a turnout type boot and just put a dressing underneath. its pouring with rain aswell so need something practical.

When my friends horse got hurt she used my turn out boots on her boy to keep the gamgee and vet rap in place and dry. Just got to make sure they dont get too hot and boots can only be left on for 12 hrs at a time.

ahh this is a good plan! i was planning on taking it off overnight to get the air to it but just bandage to stop the fluid building to much. unfortunatly he cant stand in the stable because of another mystery lameness that cant be investigated till the lameness from this wound has gone otherwise he would be in as he looks like the mud monster!!!
