Quick question - help please

Can you still put a poltice on a hoof for a suspected abcess with a shoe still on? Don't want to go into huge detail as it is all in hand but I cannot get the vet out at the moment and cannot get hold of the farrier either to take the shoe off!

I have and never had a problem with it. One horse it actually helped stopped his hoof falling apart.

Yes, as long as the poultice is actually going to be 'on' the area that needs poulticing.
