I had a full length one made after one of our horses fell through a partition when in an accident. (we were stationary, stupid car hit us head on)
I used the local car trailer maker, they had the frame galvanised, made the inner out of really tough material (the previous stuff was glasonite) and the next time we had a problem it proved totally tough.
It cost under £200 and was made to measure.
You can buypartitions but they are more expensive, I would contact your nearest box maker and ask them for a quote.
Pity you aren't nearer Devon we have some really good places here for box alterations.
Thanks again, I've never tried her without a full length one in a lorry but she fell in an ifor williams trailer because she couldn't brace her legs against anything. Hope your horse was OK
Partitions would have to be made to measure for your particular lorry - dependent on if they are telescopic or pole type etc...For cost wise i would go for galvanized steel frame with ply inner to keep the weight down but retain the strength padded at the top and and rubberised below - stainlesss are lovely but expensive ..PM me if you would like any further info -
Lots of really usefull info from everybody. Pathelschoice will pm you if I can't get any local help, Priory Stud not too far from me so another option.
Nom - he was fantastic
and Jack is taking him to Great Westwood today - although the ground is hard there at the moment so will have to be very careful.
