Need to get some more electric tape but what width should I be getting, it all seems to be 10mm stuff and that seems to be really thin?

I used to go for thicker stuff but started getting the 10 mil tape after realising it would break easier in an emergency, it also catches in the wind less.

I don't like the thicker stuff either, it doesn't fit on the posts well and it blows off. In fact nowadays I don't buy tape at all, the rope is much better (although people don't like it as it doesn't snap..).

Cheers :) Sorry brain has completely vacated (why do I stay up this late?!) and I can't remember what we got the last time

I know it gives better conductivity but with my numpty of a horse I do worry he'd get it wrapped round a leg and end up with a nasty rope injury from dragging the whole lot around the field :o

Rope is far more dangerous - believe me - I've had a couple of youngsters caught up in it and one didn't survive the injury!

I use 20mm tape - doesn't get caught up in the wind as badly as 40mm - and plenty visible enough. But I have 'joins' now in every stretch so if a horse does get caught up, it will pull apart sooner than it would break!
