Ok, I have just become an associate member of BD in order to be able to download/order Prelims 7, 10 and 13 for my daughter and her friend.

Now, I don't know jack about this kind of thing, so here is my question: Do they need the Test Plan (with diagrams) or will they be fine with a Test Sheet?

As long as they know where the letters are and the shape of the movements required they should be fine with basic written test.
IMO it is easier to read without diagrams to distract you.

I have found the best way to learn test's is to draw a school plan with letters in their relevent places on an A4 piece of paper then as I read the test I trace the movements with my finger and visualise riding it. Basic I know but it works for me, and tbh I didn't think it would be possible for me to learn a dresssage test (old dog, new tricks and all that lol)

Thanks everyone! I have ordered the basic tests for them, usually they just copy them on scrappy bits of paper so they'll consider this a step up in the world lol!

Esp for kids, the diagrams are always good.

You didn't JUST join BD to buy the tests did you? You can buy them from lots of places, online and shops without being a BD member.
