Quick question re: jacket sizes?

Can anyone confirm or otherwise, whether a 36" jacket is about a 10?
(I just bought the cavallo ganimedes jacket in 36"

and am soooo hoping it fits)!!
I got it cos i have a 38" jacket which is too big on me, but just fretting that 36" won't fit now!!

I think 36" is a twelve, a tleast my hacking jacket is a 36" and I am a 12. I can wear a waistcoat under it.

yeh 36 is a 10 40 is a 12 i think x
