quick question- sponsorship?

If I could put together a valid business case showing how it could benefit the company, then yes, after all in this life it is less about what you know than who you know.

If I could not demonstrate a business case then I would be too embarrassed to as without one you are not asking for sponsorship you are begging for handouts!

Yeah I would....especially if you are really serious about what you are doing, and are achieving in your pursuits. If you think what you are doing is worthwhile being sponsored then I would consider it. Ask yourself the question - would another non-family/friend company want to sponsor me? If the answer is 'yes' then approach the company of your 'distant, rich family member'.

But as SpottedCat suggests don't make a casual approach - put together a slick proposal explaining how you would advertise their product and how it's going to benefit them.

Remember that doing business with family and/or friends can be wrought with problems. Make sure that anything you do is professional and observe any 'arrangement' with respect and commitment.
