Does it matter if I only have a tweed Jacket? Ive been invited out hunting on Monday, but only have a tweed jacket nowadays as I havent been out for years! Will this be acceptable or will I get sent home?! Thanks in advance!

It's supposed to be Navy/black unless it's autumn hunting. However they are usually pretty lax about it so i'm sure you'll be fine, A LOT of people wear tweed. I wore navy out autumn hunting and they were fine :D

Don't worry just have a great time!

Can i just ask who you are going with? As my horses are in warwickshire (i am really three counties, horses in warwickshire house in worcestershire and gloucestershire on the doorstep!)

just wasnt sure. I thought it was only allowed before the opening meet. Last time I went I was still in pony club, so always wore tweed, but the 'grown ups' wore black jackets. was just worried that now im one of the 'grown-ups' I would be laughed at!

going with the warwickshire, the meet is at friends of ours. I havnt been for years as I have got namby-pamby horses, but a friend has lent me a very experienced hunter, so am really looking forward to it!

Even if they prefer black or navy for Opening Meet, Boxing Day and New Year's Day - when you need to plait too - tweed with a coloured stock, or shirt and tie, is fine for other meets.
