I have arranged for someone to come and try my horse today (she is hopefully going to help out with exercising) but its peeing it down and really really windy...hes a good boy but not sure if its a good idea for her to ride him for the first time in this weather?! I have already had to re-arrange twice due to weather....do you think I should ask her to come for a chat (but not ride) I dont want to put her off?!

If it were me I'd give her a call and tell her she's still welcome to visit and ride if she feel comfortable about it, but that you'd like to meet her and let her meet your horse if she's happy to come today to have a look. I'd let her make the decision whether or not to come

i would say let her turn up that way you can get feelings about her...good or bad vibes...and to discuss your horse and find out more about her and if it should stop raining...pop tack on and let her ride...soon see how good or bad she is....without being too testing!!

Weather's been bl@@dy awful this week. I had my motorcycle CBT yesterday afternoon. 4 flamming hours riding in high winds and pouring rain. Never been so wet, windswept and cold by the end of it. And in September, too!!! If you keep cancelling 'cos of the weather... she may NEVER get to come to view!!

Tell me about it, I have him rugged and in at night for this week never had to do that before!

This is England, it's nearly winter. If she is going to help excercise it she's going to get wet at some point and no doubt encounter other things which will cause her more problems. If she's not happy with it in the rain is she really up to the job. Baptism of fire is what I say! I mean you can be nice about it but at the end of the day either she can ride or she cant!

YES! Same here. Ridiculous isn't it? I thought that yesterday as I opened yet another bale of this winter's hay.
