Hi guys, my daughter has weekly lessons in the riding school that I was taught in, am great friends with owner/instructor. My daughter is flying at it, and is loving canter(she's 6). I was speaking to another parent today, and he was laughing at me, because I get totally worked up, am afraid when i'm watching her cantering....He thinks it's because I ride, and fall off myself, he says he feels nothing like that, and his daughter is 5 and tiny!!! Is this normal, or should I just go make myself coffee or something,I do love watching her ride, but dont want to be a bad influence??
Any idesa??

Don't watch here. Just go and do somkething else and come back for her later - unless the school insists that you are on premises while she's riding - in which case read the newspaper in the car. Your fears will get to her, or otherwise she'll just get irritated by over-protective mum. Remember the old riding adage "They're either in the ditch, or enjoying themselves; and if they're in the ditch someone will come and tell you!"
