I unfortunately need to sell my coloured stallion (Rollestone Inde-Cent for those of you who watch the foal cam and know my old place!)

Where is the best place to get a quick sale - I have drastically reduced his price to £5.5k ono and he's going in H&H next week but ideally I'd like to have him sold before then

Pics here http://www.rollestone-farm.com/INDECENT.html

He would be a great investment project for someone who would spend a couple of months schooling him, unfortunately I am not allowed to keep him at the farm anymore and schooling livery is crippling me - hence the price drop to hopefully find him a home quickly.

Any ideas - and could you please rack brains to see if you can think of anyone looking for his type of horse..
Thanks

Oh my gosh he is gorgeous! If only I could afford him...

Anyway, to answer your question horsemart and horsedeals are good, it also may be worth putting him on some specific websites related to selling coloured horses.
Hope this helps

He's on horsemart, and have had a couple of enquiries from there... Been on coloured contacts since last week but no interest at all....

So frustrating as he is such a lovely little horse and so uncomplicated, I don't want to give him away but people just don't seem to be buying at the moment!

have you tried ringing round any other small studs that have similar lines/types- maybe I'm being niave but would think it would be worth a go.

Give it go, just make it sound like your doing them a favour by offering, I would think you would get some interest- even if you got some below par offers that you knew you could fall back on if needed?

GwenLP - unfortunately I am not allowed access to the farm so I cannot take pics of the babies so I only have a couple of bad pics that I have taken from people's facebook pictures - nothing that shows them off well

Thanks for your thoughts everyone so far

Don't know whether this will help, but have you tried some of the sports horse centres?

Just a thought as I know the Midland Sports Horse Centre stands stallions, and he may be something they would be interested in?

Jay - problem is I need him worked so do they do full/workng livery? Am not sure where he is right now is the best place as seems almost impossible to get hold of the lady schooling him which is not great for trying to arrange viewings!

yes my yo owner will, or i take on sales liveries.

she charges i think around 75 pw for full livery including schooling riding etc.

outdoor school, indoor school jumps etc.. im at the old goatlake if you know it?

i do sales livery from 50pw. that includes selling, livery and general riding.

the arab ive just sold has gone to a member of the british endurance team if you needed a reference.

He's 4 and passed his ECHA grading (German coloured Soc) at 2, but failed his BSPA one in March - with no explanation at all... 2 months later I am still waiting for the results and reasons why and also his passport to be returned. Everyone else is in the same boat so I certanly wo't be recomending them to anyone!

My plan was to take him to the SPSS one in Oct but I need him gone long before then unfortunately
