Hello, have not got any pictures as at college at the moment. Just thought I'd let you know how we are getting on, Tess currently has a massive Mohawk and leg warmers on... we have decided to grow all of her fluff again ( leaving behind her knees short where she has skin conditions). She is fit at the moment... not hunting fit but certainly full of beans and looking nice and trim. I took her for a hack at the weekend with my friends young cob, friends cob was being a bit naughty so they went in the front down a narrowish track for a canter. I hung back for all of a second before being launched into orbit we went from a stand still to flat out gallop and I looked like a dog with its head out of the window. Eyes were streaming I couldn't see she was really going for it ( let's just say Tessy doesn't like being last and turned it into a flat out race). Brakes failed but eventually came to a stop and they both really enjoyed it :) Nothing planned with her at the moment other than hacking, hoping to work on our jumping more and get her round some local SJ courses next year :)

Does she have mallenders behind her knees? My hairy (VERY hairy) does but as long as I keep the mites at bay with dectomax jabs and rub sudocrem into the crusty bits I find I can keep the feathers (touch wood, so far!). Lovely update!

Thanks for the update, laughing about speedy Tess not wanting to stay behind the other horse! Go Tess!

My cob is currently also sporting the leg warmers with clipped backs of knees look, it's err, 'interesting' but if needs must....

Lovely to hear she is feeling so well!
She really is !

Yay for Tessy the secret TB :D
:D

We have had every bloomin' vet out in creation, should have been offered shares in sudocrem and pig oil ! Her legs are heavily scarred from mites in previous home, she has had all the correct jabs. The weather sets them off it's like dry skin that develops into deep cracks where her flabby scar tissue is :(
Hahaha little monster...cant wait to see her fluffy ♥♥♥

Mum asked if I got an adrenaline rush... I was too busy clinging on for dear life :p

It was the quickest I have ever seen her move ! It really is an interesting look, but like you say helps a lot
