Thank you to everyone that replied! Quick update: Horse had a swelling on his pastern on the leg that he has windgalls on. He is sound.
And Imogen you are correct!! Obviously!! I rang my vet earlier and she said it is just the overflow of fluid from his windgalls. She said just to take it easy for a week or so and hopefully it will go, but could come up again once in full work again.
Imogen, if you have a min could you answer a couple of questions?
Is he better in/out? (currently out 24/7)
Do I bandage? (hosing/icepack twice daily and a bit of leg ice)
Will he come to any harm if the fluid stays there, obviously as long as he remains sound?
Thanks for your time
