those of you who may be interested, millie has been on the ventipulmin for a couple of days now, i have also put her on shavings and have today moved her onto haylage as both our straw and this second batch of hay she ahs been on recently really wasnt very good.
she has seemed much better and as i say even when she was on the antibiotics the other week i didnt hear her cough/or have any dishcarge.
this has been the same the last few days so i thought i would lunge her today to see if anything comes up as shes as bright as a button!!
it took me 1/2 an hour to catch her the whole time she didnt stop charging round the field so she was puffing pretty well..and there was no coughing/snorting/discharge so i thought i would take her out for a walk , and nothing came up..she seems better.
im going to give her a couple more days of ventipulmin while i introduce the haylage..get hay dust out of her system and then gradually fade it out..and we shall see.
i will try and ride her gently the next few days.
the vet is booked to scope her on wednesday but if she is still fine over the next few days i think i shall cancel it.
