need to get my horses foreign passport over stamped. I’d like it doing as quickly as possible once I’ve sent it off. (Won’t be for a few weeks.)

can anyone recommend a quick PIO to get this done with?

It should have been done by 1st october 2020! Breeers Elite Studbook are aturning them around pretty quicly and at a reasonable cost.

This is incorrect. All horses needed to be microchipped by 1st October. Foreign passports always should have been overstamped by an English PIO -it's been the case for a long long time however nobody knew (me included) and nobody did it. Affiliated sports didn't require it - whether they will in the future is unclear. BHS is cheapest but have long delays currently.

I’ve discovered (according to the equine register website) that Irish passports with a UELN starting 372414 do *not* need to be over stamped as they are already registered in Northern Ireland. However you may still need to put your horse on the Central Equine Database.

Not sure if relevant for the OP but may help others!

Definitely a help to me, thanks - sorting new Irish boy's passport was next on my list! Having checked the Northern Ireland Horse Board website, it seems if you go through them to change an Irtish Passport it will also be automatically added to the Central Equine Database.

Oh and if you're in Wales you have until Feb 2021 to microchip your horse.
