Hi

Can anyone recommend a very quiet set of clippers for a horse who needs to be sedated for his full winter clip?! Just to be used to trim a small amount of feather and his whiskers!

Scissors are taking far too long!!

Thanks!

I have found Oster trimmers to be really quiet and for body clips I have Hauptner 2000 clippers which are really really quiet-

Wahl pro-rechargeable clippers are pretty good, quiet, lightweight and hardly vibrate, also cordless so less scary although can also be run off the mains for more power. I used them on my old horse to successfully cure his clipping phobia, he used to try and kill anyone who went near him with clippers, now he's so good i can even use big scary clippers on him. They struggle with coarse hair though.

Do they vibrate much? Silly question probably but think my horse hates the vibration more than the noise but we arent too sure.....
