I haven't but when I couldn't afford one I bought a water pistol instead and managed the same outcome, it just required more of my time.

What about just some thick carpet to deaden the sound? That often stops them.

Rubber matting on the inside of the door, nice thick stuff that bounces their foot back.

Robins buddy was terrible. He now has his water buckets put in front of the door. Instant and long lasting no kicking.
