What a rubbish couple of days it has been my dads horse joe one of his old pointers had to be pts last night after colic complications of a twisted gut.
He got mild colic on tues and vet thought it was just am impaction and treated accordingly we stayed with him all tues night vet thought he was improving a bit weds morning but at about teatime he worsened, luckily vet was on way again as he went downhill very quickly.
We are all devastated he was only 16,it was my birthday yesterday too so a very sad bday and now there is nobody to rip my coat pockets zips and toggles off my coat which he loved to do.
He was a lovely boy a bit lively and an interfering nosey fart who had to be in to everything,it is horrible looking at the empty stable and I hate it when they take the body away but still have to be there to make sure it is done properly silly I know.
He will be sorely missed I am just glad we were there at the end and it was all dealt with very quickly, wasnt going to write about it but he deserves to be remembered.
