We bought 2 baby rabbits 2 weeks ago,the first week they stayed in their hutch and were fed as in the shop and exercised in doors. This week we got a run and they have gone out each day.
Today we have bought them in late tonight and one has bloat, we have put it in the warm and massaged it ,it is not eating.I have no car tonight to go to the vets any advice and do you think the other one will get the same. I have on the internet and know it is serious and may die anyone any advice

she may well die without veterinary attention. bloat carries a very poor prognosis even with seeing a vet. normally we stomach tube them to release the gas that has built up in the stomach and give them gut stimulants and pain killers. it's not really fair on her to just leave her - she really does need to see a vet - get a taxi if necessary.

sorry she died  we do do house calls if necessary although we try not to leave the practice in case another emergency comes in. if we're stuck out on a house call and an RTA turns up at the practice then it's a bit of a nightmare. there's also not usually a lot we can do out at houses as we only carry a small visit box and dont have all the equipment with us so we do try to get people in to us if at all possible.
