Rabbit problem

We have a problem with rabbits digging in our arena. It is sand covered in rubber chips. I never see them but every morning there are holes dug all over the place and I am concerned if they dig deep enough they will tear the membrane. Any idea how I can keep them out?

Tear the membrane, tunnel beneath the school etc. you can't stop them unless you deplete their numbers somewhat.

Pest control I'm afraid.

I had a rabbit problem last year in one of my paddocks. The rabbit holes were so bad it became unusable as the horses were in danger of falling or worse.
We got our neighbour to come one night and shoot them. He got a huge amount and the problem stopped instantly. Of course I still see one or two but the field is safe.
Ask round I'm sure someone local will be glad of some shooting.

Won't help with your arena but we had a problem in our fields. We filled the holes with fresh horse poo when poo picking lots and lots of it! they have now moved on.

We live next door to a disused railway line which is now a rabbit breeding sanctury!! If you ask around there are often people looking for land to come and shoot on.

There is netting you can get to put round the arena (to keep surface from blowing out) but knowing rabbits they'll just chew through it, it'll be £££s and not that nice to look at.
