Hey all, just a quick question as I don't know what to do for the best about my little rabbit. He is a 1 yea old mini lop and lives in the house. I have always been told rabbits should be castrated for behaviour/health purposes. I am also aware that the smaller the animal, the more risk there is when going under anaesthetic. I'm basically just wondering if for such a small rabbit do the benefits outweigh the risks? Obviously I want to do what is best for him and I will be getting in touch with my vet, but i'd just like a bit more of an idea before I go

Thanks in advance :)

I'd always neuter whether it was a male or female :) What breed is him?

I've got a baby Netherland boy that is due to have the op in the next couple of weeks. We've waited a bit longer to allow him to put on weigh, initially he was only about 750g so we decided not to risk it however he is more grown up now so no escaping for him!
