Hi :)

I'm a first year vet student, and for one of our animal husbandry placements we have to do 2 weeks equine work. I'd love to do this on a racing yard, as it's one area of horsey-ness that I know almost nothing about (and I have a not-so-secret love for all things thoroughbred!). My problem is I don't know any racing yards, or how to go about finding one near enough to me, does anyone here know any in Hampshire/Berkshire? If such a thing exists I'd love to go a stud that also has horses in training and racing so I could see the whole process, from covering to the track. Do yards like this exist?

Cookies for anyone who can help me (and forgive my naivety!) :) x

(also in CR, wasn't sure which forum would be best!)

Have you tried asking the Racing School for any links to racing yards? They might be helpful in finding the correct type near where you live and what you wish to do!

when i started applying for work experience for school i went to a local trainers yard that i found through directoryoftheturf (the links abother used posted) i found quite a few but only ended up writing to one guy who accepted :D i dont live anywhere near you but directory of the turf is where i found it all, also if you find a trainer and want to know more about his results or anything then search him on racingpost.com as they have everything on there!

Opps! Sorry, indeed I do. Just thought it might be easy finding the different Racing Yards from someone (or place) with alot of details!
