Hello

read your post back to HH about all your horeses going better in plastic bits.

when i had my first lesson on Bonnie (ex flat racer) she wore a flash noseband. TRainer experimented by taking it off to see if she would show her teeth less and she did.... wanted to know if perhaps she would relax more in a plastic bit and what kind you found were best????

her teeth one hopes are fine as not only was she vetted last week, her previous owner is an equine dentist!!!!

Cheers.

hi bandit,

i've used a variety of the happy mouth ones, and find they all seem to like the french link, i also use full cheek ones on anything with steering problems to start with, just seems to help them along a bit, but i'd definatly try a plastic one, i'd recommend a loose ring as well, as they don't tend to lean as much, and i normally start off in a straight bar to give a good feel of what is happening, then swap to a french link etc, depending on what i think,
