Radio/cd players for lorries

Just got my old car cd/radio out of the attic and it says for use with 12v, everything else on my lorry runs with 24v so does that mean i can't use my cd player i already have

My dad said i may be able to get a transformer, has anyone else had any trouble??

My hubby says you would need a transformer, but some CD players have a switch on them so they can be switched to 24V. He put one in my lorry but that is a 12V so it was ok.

Mine was fittled with a transformer so it would not be blown by the 24volts needed for a lorry. I also have a switch so that the radio can be switched off completely.
