There seem to be a lot of "giveaways" on Facebook at the moment where you have to pay various amounts depending on the prize won to get an entry.
With about a maximum of about 3500 entries per "giveaway" it must be a nice little earner for someone.
Prize worth about £450 RRP for £3.49/entry and a maximum of 3499 entries. If all sold it would be just over £12 000...
Why is this a Giveaway?

Yes there are. But then it’s much better odds than winning the lottery - as long as they’re legitimate of course.

Its not a giveaway- and often outside the UK so not governed by the gambling regulations.

I won a raffle for a pair of riding tights. £5 a ticket and they cost £55. I am living in them and so looking to buy a pair on payday.

The above "giveaways" always make me dubious though, the more local raffle ones are generally better to enter.
