raff's halo has fallen off, smashed and then been stamped on

Hi CCP, we had a mare with KS, after one incident where she came down on my head when walking in hand, she stayed in her box full time till she could be turned out. I agree with the starving child/sweetshop analagy.

We did, however, let her graze whilst wearing her headcollar, held by a long leadrope, on a patch of grass that isnt otherwise grazed, so loads of lush grass. also meant if she did feck off with me she couldnt go anywhere.

Feel free to shoot me down, but until you build your confidence up could you lead him in a field safe, in an enclosed environment (like a barn, or school with large walls), so that if he does rear, pull away from you or whatever, you can get yourself safely out the way and there wouldnt be any trailing ropes for him to hurt himself on?

Anyway you sound more confident. He is still your baby - just imagine what you'd feel like if you'd been sat in your bed for weekss!!!! He also wasnt aiming at you, im certain - you just got in the way of his explosion xxxx
