Today we went to Vale view , we had entered the novice petplan but found out a couple of days ago we couldn't do it as he went to the winter champs in the novice music. So they kindly changed both our entries and he did novice music and his first elementary to try and get a quick pet plan qualification before Weston Lawns.
First of all he did the music and it went really well. The scores went up and he came 2nd with 68%, nice score but when we got the sheet it just didn't look right. After last week when the adding up was wrong [ 10 marks out] I thought I would check and 'yes ' it was wrong and he in fact got 73%. The winner in fact got half a percent more so didn't change the result but it was nice to see the judge loved the music and gave 8.5 for that. It was rather disappointing at the RC qualifier to only get 6.5 for the music last week, she was the first judge not to love Rafi's music and think it suits him.
So on to his first elementary. It started really well and then in the canter he decided he hated the letter B which had fallen over . He stopped dead ,started again and then the next 3 times he had to pass it he had a fit.
So the scores went up and he won, shock, the sheet was mostly 7's and an 8 or two but there was a 3 and a 4 and a 5 for the three times he played up. He actually got 64% so his first petplan qualifying score at elementary.
So really check the adding up they do make mistakes [ we are all human] but twice in a week!

congratulations - sounds like a great day

Well done to Rafi and C. Must remind my lot to check the maths, it's not something you'd necessarily think of doing but obviously a good idea.
