Ragwort...more about this year?

Is it just me, or does there seem to be more about this year. saw loads along the M3 and M23, some fields looked like they were being used to grow a crop of the stuff

Last year, had none in my field, this year, I've had to pull up several plants.

Is it worth complaning to anyone about the plants along the motorways? If so, who? Local councils or Highways Agency? DEFRA?

Absolutely it seems to be sprouting all over our field and we pulled it all out last year, there seem to be loads of the small rosettes as well as the fully grown plants which seem to grow really fast and appear from no-where! Maybe the weather is better for it this year, though it is a bi-annual plant so can lie dormant some years I think.
