we were at dublin horse show last week, and it poured and poured on friday night, before our jumping class on saturday. the ground was very wet, but the groundsmen did all they could and roped off the worst bits.
then on the way home that saturday, the two front tyres blew on the lorry on the motorway just out of dublin! after a 4 hour delay, and the garda helping us and then having an emergencey tyre putter on ers, we arrived home at 1am on sunday. after the horse then got a rest in the field and i unpacked the lorry and re-packed it for monday.
on monday we left for kilkenny for the irish pc champs, (1 4/5 hour drive) and arrived late that night. on tuesday we did dressage and showjumping on soft ground (again, the organisers did all they could) and that night it never stopped raining and this was lashing down, so much that the event was cancelled! we decided to walk the xc again, as we wanted to see the damage... one of our fences was totally submerged under water!!! you could just about see the top of the flags...
so we drove up and went to a beach on the way up to have some fun
and played in the water. oh, and just as we left the yard the trailer got a flat tyre but luckilly we had a spare!
