Rain+riding= saddle dye on jods!!

I've managed to trash ANOTHER pair of jods at camp today because my stupid saddle runs when it gets wet!! Any chance of getting them clean as have failed with previous pairs but you clever lot may have some tips
And is there anything you can spray on the saddle or something to stop the dye running? (it's leather btw not synthetic)
