As the title says really.
My mare has recently come down with a very mild case of rain scald. Now it has been cleaned however due to the rather warm weather at the moment i am unsure whether wearing a rug will just cause a breeding ground for bacteria worsening the condition. Then on the other hand I don't know if exposing her to the elements without a rug will do any good either.

Advice would be much appreciated. Thank you :D

To be honest amymay shes has been abit touch and go recently and I think its all just caught up with her :( so fingers crossed she'll be feeling tonnes better soon. :D

Agree with AM. Better to lard her up rather than rug IME.

You could try Kossolian, it's meant for those that can get run down, changing coats, growing etc, has B12 in it amongst other things and horses usually love it. Alternatively, you could give a cup of Guinness in night feed, that will do the trick too.
