Is there anything other than Hibiscrub that I can treat it with as obviously its very itchy and sore.

Also do you think I should keep her in until she is better?

If you find a thin old rug you can use, coat the rain scald area with sudocrem or protocon, and within two days all the scabs will slide off. you can then remove the rug, wash the rug and treat the area again. Plain hibiscrub and water won't fix it, you need almost the same treatment as for mud fever.
It's usually bacterial so look for a cream that will work on that specific thing.
Often the area gets very hot and uncomfortable so try and get the scabs removed if you can without pulling (that's why the rug method works, they stick to the rug...)
Once you have clean skin to work on it's easier to soothe it.
It works best if you can keep the horse dry for a couple of days once the scabs are off, so inside might be best if possible.
I discovered this method after trying to treat horses that live out 24/7. I eventually tried smothering loads of mud fever cream on their backs and was amazed to see all the scabs drop off and new hair growing very quickly. Washing the rug is a pain afterwards but necessary so the same bacteria don't do it again.

I will keep her in for a couple of days especially as the weather is so bad.

I do have some cream for her mudfever so will try that though Im more bothered about how itchy and uncomftable she is.

Just a thought ... are you sure its not lice ... ? Quite an unusual place for rainscald .. and its not usually itchy . I have had a few in the past with rainscald and it has always been along the back , but the ones with lice ( usually my hairier ones !) start around the flanks and they ITCH !!

Zinc & castor oil cream (used for nappy rash) from any chemist is also very soothing. I used to use it for mud fever when I lived in Essex - don't get it here!
