Well.....all my stuff is wet through and minging so todays job will be sorting that lot out!

Yesterday was area intermediate showjumping for riding club up at richmond. We had a team of four of us in the intermediate jumping. Autumn is now growing up so well and spent some time tied up to the side of the box which was a lovely change as normally she can be a bit of a bull when shes goes out - not naughty or nasty or anything just a bit ignorant!

First round was indoors which I wasnt looking forward too - the viewing gallery runs right alongside the spectators and it can often be quite tight in there. Went in and rode her slyly alongside the crowd to let her have a good look first. Neednt have worried as she did a lovely clear. The rest of the tea went clear too!

Second round was outdoors and a bit bigger. Richmond have a lovely huge outdoor arena so was a bit dissapointed to find some quite tight turns going back on yourself into combiations etc. Was hard work for autumn hauling her huge self round the corners but again a lovely clear. The team finished with three double clear so we were getting slightly giddy by this point!

we were into the jump off with one other team. Autumn hasnt done much in the way of pushing her in jump offs but I did send her on a bit more than usual as it was a team competition so had to 'go for it!' - steering was a bit hit and miss and we had an unlucky rub at an upright. It was all very tense as each team member went alternately but WE WON!!!!! And so, we shall be going to the championships at lincoln woo hoo!!!

really really pleased with autumn, she was fantastically behaved and did everything asked of her. We finished second in this competition last year when autumn was five and I remember thinking they looked huge then too so was quite nice that they appeared much smaller in my head this time too!

Cant wait for lincoln im sure its going to be a great weekend and good luck to everyone else who is going too!

I said to someone when you were jumping off that she looked a lot more grown up. Well done! :) You were the lucky ones - I didn't jump my second round until after 6pm (should have been 4.26) and didn't leave until 7.30pm. I'd been there since 8.30am the day before! At least having had a stable overnight our horses could stand inside in the dry and I pinched a washbox to hose all the sand off Jerry before going home.

I'm really pleased for you. Hope you enjoy Lincoln!
