I would be interested to hear people's experiences of using Rakelin in horses. I have a 5yr old dressage horse who we are working through a series of diagnostics (nerve blocks, x rays and soon a bone scan) to eliminate a back/sacro iliac/ pelvis issue. He is currently so reluctant to move forward it is becoming difficult For my vets to assess him.
They have given him a short course of Rakelin IM to see if we can dampen the stress and anxiety reaction to whatever is causing the problem,in order that we have a better chance of clearly diagnosing the underlying problem.
He is 6 days after first dose and had the second dose today. I'm getting some unusual reactions from him whenriddenand turned out and I would love to hear of others experiences?
He will go for a bone scan in 2 weeks so it may become clearer then, however in the meantime I am interested to know if this Rakelin could be causing his new behaviour/ symptoms.
