Disgusting. Racing or not that was shocking behaviour. Not safe from the perspective of other drivers following on either. Only possible mitigation is that some of those cars have radio so they *could* have been letting relevant people know.

Really you have to blame the organisers more than the drivers though - what kind of fool organises races through grazed areas?
 
The kind of fool that organises the RAC rallies - lots of those are through moorland with sheep on.

The kind of fool who organises the IoM TT, in that you race over cattle grids onto sheep-grazed mountain. Some poeple hit cows: four people killed the year that Surtees hits a cow and they both survive

The kind of fool who allows cars to drive in the New Forest:
40 ponies die in one village in past five years

I'm afraid that is classed as a racing incident, the organisers sent the drivers through "desert-type" land and there were feral horses on it. They could have been any other animal indiginous to the country. It happens.

Yes it was - and it's bloody tragic.

However, how about focussing on the on the animals that killed on the roads in this country - New Forest, Brecon etc..........
