I've not tried one but saw it being demonstrated at BETA, I thought it looked an excellent idea. I have seen the price somewhere but can't remember it

I don't know how much they are but I've seen them used and they're a really good concept. They're especially good for starting youngsters and would probably also suit your horse sammiea as there is a second tongue clip which allows the bit to be raised off the tongue. You can remove all tongue clips and the bit and use it as a bitless bridle aswell. I havn't seen them used as bitless though. I'm seriously considering getting one especially as I'll be starting my 3 year old this year.

i've been using the rambo micklem bridle on a frysian for about half a year now and it suits us verry well. The horse seems to like it best without bit, because when she knows it's bittless she pokes her head straight through the noseband, when there is a bit she looks away. She never did this before. I like it that the noseband is in adifferent place on her nose than that of her headcollar that, unfortunately she has to wear all day (her furr gets rubbed by headcollar). A few weeks ago we sudenly opened the gate, left the ridingschool and went out on the road, completely forgetting we had no bit that day!!! We use the medium option and she always answers to the reigns. She even tries to go on the bit, but i don't know how to react to that without bit. ANYONE KNOW? I think you can try it on any horse. First start with bit, than add the tongueclips and finaly leave out the bit.
