Having decided to buy an amigo XL 50g turnout for my big horse, they’re out of stock everywhere in his size.

So now I’m considering a Rambo optimo, but put off by the fact that it’s 0g. I’ve never experienced a 0g rug that stays waterproof and also don’t like how they feel cold on the inside when wet. How do people find them long term? Do they stay waterproof? It’s too much money to spend if it’ll only last a few years

I have one and it’s 100% waterproof despite being about 10 years old now.

My only complaint is because it’s such high denier it’s quite heavy for a 0g and they can get a bit warm in milder weather, but it’s brilliant for winter downpours.

I bought one in September & its literally all my lad has been in this winter, I can confirm its 100% waterproof & very good if you have a chunky one. Just make sure you size down!

My only complaint (and I've since read its common!) is 2 little holes appeared inside by the neck cover attachments within a week or so, which I know shouldn't happen, especially for the cost of it, but it hasn't spread or got any worse so I'll live with it - its the only no fill he has so I 'need' it & also I have zero enthusiasm with the hassle of arguing to get a replacement.
