Well I've found a bargain one (half rrp) so might get it and then see about the proper Boett next year. He's still growing so don't want to get a Boett now which he'll be grown out of next year. I think I've got the sweet itch under control for now, I just need something to stop him rubbing so he can heal. I'm treating him with Camrosa at the moment and he's still rubbing, and he's also get a spot on treatment which means he isn't being bitten by anything, all the the others are plagued by horse flies, black flies and midges but there is nothing on him. It's brilliant stuff, comes from america, definitely getting more for next year. I think at this stage he's just scratching out of habit and the skin healing might be itchy. He's got inspections in the autumn so I want him looking better by then.

I'm very interested in the name of that spot on and where to get it from! Our Welshie hasn't been too bad this year until about three weeks ago, the constand wind that blows off the river Trent just stopped and now we have thousands of blooming midges, I never usually get bitten and they are even bitting me this year
Poor ponio sctatched out half his mane and the top of his tail overnight, god knows what on as we have fenced everything off with electric fencing.... He keeps ripping rugs too so that isn't an option We managed to get 2 500ml bottles of Benzyl Benzoate from the chemist which is really helping him and the hair is growing back fast, although I have ended up hogging him. Now chemist says they haven't been able to get hold of any more grrrrr!
My daughter is distraught as he qualified for the Pony of the Year and the Royal London (in hand) and now she can't even take him to local shows...
However I keep telling myself that at least he hasn't got any sores, although he cut his face itching on the water trough, and hoping it will have all grown to a presentable length for the winter shows!
