Last summer my mare was constantly coming up in lumps and bumps and was quite itchy. I don't think it is sweetitch but think I am going to invest in a Rambo Hoody. What size should I get? She is 6'3 in Amigo and Rambo Duo (slightly big) but 6'0 in the Rambo Fly Protector. Thanks for any advice

I've heard these rip really easily...

Not to put you off but I know theyre expensive!

My friend uses these rugs for her horse and they are fab. Been washed and used over and over and not ripped atall. She buys the same size as her ordinary rugs and it fits really well. They are expensive but well worth the money in my opinion.

I have used this rug on Motor for the last 2 summers and they are brilliant! One was worn for both the Summers and does not show any wear at all and are made of strong heavy duty cotton/polyester, so well worth the money.

My only worry is that they do not appear to have a lot of room round the shoulders and rub a bit. I bought a larger 6' one, in the Scats sale (they still had some last week!!!) and that is better, however a wee bit long in the neck

Had a few of these and never ripped, they are great and really help sweetitch.
I buy mine in the same size as the rest of the rugs unless the horse is broad chested then i buy a size up.

Ok, thanks everyone, I will get the 6'3 to give her more room on the shoulders. I have looked at the Snuggy Hoods rug and also the Boett but these are even more expensive!

My TB was sensitive to fly bites so he had a rambo sweetitch hoody. The gypsies stole it off his back and I replaced it with a premier equine one instead which was much cheaper (£40 in sale

) and he didn't get as hot in it.

I've bought a couple more PE hoodies since then and they've all fitted well and haven't rubbed.

Here's polo wearing his:

I use TWO and I have on 5ft 9" and one 6ft" as the smaller one is a bit tight on her shoulder I have two so I can wash them (smelly mare wee) only time one got ripped was my gelding ripping it off her.
