Rambo Turnout Dilemma... what would you do?

I have just bought (this week) a brand new Rambo Original Turnout 200g with the leg arches, a 200g liner, a 400g liner and a hood.

So TO comes yesterday with liners and I find that there are no rings for the hood, apparently this is the norm on the pre Winter 2011 stock of which this must be.

I got them for a good price from a decent store but I was wondering how important you think having a neck cover is? Should I keep it all /sell it/send it back/send hood back/swap with someone? BTW my horse is fully clipped out and grey... hence my dilemma! I could get a snuggy hood to keep him clean but will he need the fill in the hood to keep his neck warm?

Hope you can help

IMO the hood is essential if you're hoping to use it as a heavyweight with the liners you have bought.

So as others have suggested, either get rings sewn on, or send back the liners and hood and keep it as a mediumweight for spring. Or send the lot back if it's a heavyweight you wanted and you can't get the neck attachments sewn on.

Rambo rugs are great though, the only rugs I would buy now. I recommend the Supreme if the budget will stretch to it or you can pick up a second hand one.

Okay so finally made a decision to put them on Ebay with disgustingly cheap 'make me an offer' prices! I will keep the thinner liner and buy PE combo with the money i think... thanks for the input though

That doesn't make sense though - for the sake of a day at the rug person and a cost of £15 - you've got a perfectly serviceable neck cover.

Personally I don't see what neck covers are for and never use them so wouldn't have worried about it! Up to you though.

^I agree with this as I never use neck covers either.

However - can you cancel your ebay listing? It really should be easy to have rings for the neck cover put on the rug and Rambos really are fab rugs (so worth the hassle).

Would make more sense to put the rings on, Rambo rugs are far more superior than the Premier Equine ones. I know as I run a Rug wash business and see the quality of a lot of rugs. Not only that, it must be costing you money to advertise on EBay and with its related charges. Probably as much as having the rings put on!
