Ramp Matting - Glue??????

I have just ordered some Fieldguard horsebox mats for my lorry ramp. My BIL is fitting them for me (what a star) but wants to glue them on rather than screw them in (dunno why).

What glue do I need to get (poly something I think) and where can I get it from? Kraiburg mats sell some to glue their mats down but it is £50 which seems a lot for glue?

Cant you talk him into screwing them on. Just thinking that if you had to replace any wood on your ramp you'd never get to it and would have to replace the lot. Friends ramp had wood replaced, they unscrewed the rubber, replaced the rotten wood and put the matting back. Looked as good as new.
