Ours are all microchipped, but to be registered in the Dales stud book they had to be.

My old boy has neither - infact I'd have to pay someone to steal him.
My youngun is microchipped and I'm going to book her in for a freezemark on 1st July. I'm abit worried though incase she doesn't stand still, I'm going to give her a calmer paste but do you think it may be wise to have the vet sedate her?
For the people who had their horses freezemarked how did they stand having it done? Were they ok?

She's organic vegan so she said no to micro chipping. I offerred to freeze her skin until it scarred and she offerred to kick a new hole in my head and we both agreed to to neither

one of mine is microchipped and freezemarked (already was when we bought her), two have neither atm but i am going to get them freezemarked and the horse i have on loan is microchipped.

That sounds about right
Although one of mine is 15 and Polish National Stud bred, therefore hot branded with unique number - she's grey though so you can't see it unless you are looking very carefully.
