Had my boy for over 2years- his hogged mane was just growing back and stuck up when I got him! Now it's grown a good bit...want it even longer tho

BUT any theories on why his forelock doesn't grow?? Is it probz cos he was hogged??

One of my mares went through a phase when her forelock didn't grow as much as her mane, but it does now

My farrier calls her Tina Turner at times as it's so fluffy!

I don't think its anything to do with hogging. I've had two horses that were hogged when I bought them, niether were cobs, one TB ex polo and one ID. Both had plenty of forelock when they grew back. I've known horses that just have a bit of fluff for a forelock and had never been hogged.
