Erm... This could be an interesting on for you, no idea what the weight is but I can tell you about the weight tape...

Right In this one above ^^ On my weightape, the last written number on it is 635 kg. There was over a foot's gap in between the ends of the tape.

In the one below, this is his ideal weight, and he has been sitting comfortably at this weight since September. 630kg.

Helping?

Teddy, 14.2NF traditional forest-bred, chunky build - 420kg in this pic (we like him as close to 400kg as we can get him on the weigh tape)

Cavalier, a finer, stud-bred NF - 14.0 at the wither, 14.1 at the bum in this one, always weighs 380kg

15.2 cob. about 600 on the weigh tape when this was taken, just over a month ago weighing in at about 570 at the moment but still with more belly than I would like

Pidge, ISH, 17hh weigh taped at 575kg at the moment which is probably what he was when this was taken a couple of weeks ago.

Well rachelthegreat, with big fat gorgeous ted it is a struggle. he is on restricted grazing, not very scientifically he has 1/4 of the field, Cavalier has the rest of it, but I can't tell you how big the field is to give you an idea! It's not a huge area, but it's bigger than an arena - say about half as big again. He is also part stabled (yard rules) which is a godsend as far as the weight goes. Ask me again at the end of august by which time he will have been on his summer routine for a few months (in during the day, out all night). He has a shavings bed as he ate his straw one last year and got completely obese - 485kg or so. They each get 3kg hay a night and 1/2 stubbs round scoop of chaff with Blue chip lami light and garlic once a day. They don't get masses of exercise, say 3-4 times a week usually not more than 1 hour at a time. I have deliberately not fertilised the field because he got so fat last year! So far he is doing fine without resorting to the grazing muzzle, but that may change now it's rained and the grass is growing again.
