Lovely pictures (as always), your dogs always seems contently doing their own business or totally focused on you or another human that might be doing something fun with them.

Since Elmo has left, does that mean you have a vacant spot to fill Cayla?

Would you consider a half-dog?

You know that kitten I rescued, just as I had opened this post I heard *BOOM*crackle*crackle*crackle* from the kitchen and sure enough, another one of my pot plants have just crashed to the floor spreading Leca pellets high and low...

Let me see if I can describe her so you can figure out if you have any suitable home for her, she believes she has "green paws", she is very "helpful" when you make your bed/writes something using pen and eraser/reading a book/cleaning the litter tray etc.
Whenever she hears that I put food in the dogs feed bowls, she demands to have a few pieces to eat herself (or she will pester the dogs for a taste and since she doesn't accept their mild growls as an answer, I gave up instead

). Whenever the dogs goes out, she sees if she can't spot them through any of our windows and if she can, she doesn't leave the windowsill until they come back in.

She can also retrieve a cat toy (when she feels for it). She has a good recall (if she is hungry or interested in company, otherwise she neither knows her name or hears anything else really). When the dogs go out for their last pee of the day and comes in, jumps up in my bed and sits there and wait for their cooked carrot, she jumps up and sits beside them and demands to also have a piece of cooked carrot. One of her favourite places to sleep is on a dog rug.

*sigh* I wonder if it is the dog or the cat part of her, that seems to make her believe that she should be able to run through the water bowl without getting wet?
And since I want to be honest, I feel I should mention that the other day when my mother suggested that it would look nice with a cloth on the table, I laughed and giggled for several minutes before answering that "I'm sure Cilla would enjoy a new toy".

Of course I would never send her to you, even if you so paid for her. By the way, she is still running around the house as if the night was young... I'm sure that if Elmo has even half as much fun as Cilla, in his new home, he'll do just fine.

And where is your gorgeous German wirehaired boy??

I take it, as he is not there, that he is finally in the post to me?

Such a sad story about the collie?, don't know how the family could hand her in,, guess everyones circumstances are different
crazy.gif
Will you try and rehome or keep her?

As usual great pics Cayla, fingers crossed Elmo settles in his new home. Good to see a bit of your mums Shep, better than nothing eh, love your whippets/lurchers, Flick reminds me of a brindle bitch my dad had. So sad about the collie, luckily when mum went into the care home there was no problem to me having her dog, but quite a ew years earlier mum had stipulated in her will that if I couldn't have her then dog she was to be pts as she was quite old. Really hope the little collie finds a home, but otherwise I am sure she is quite happy with your lot
