Ive had LOU on my insurance for the last 6 yrs. Last year it seemed to dissapear from my renewal so I rang up and they confirmed it was still there. Got my renewal yeterday and its gone again??? So rang up today and they said they would look into it and get back to me. 3 hrs later I rang again, and again later. Finally get call back to say they will ring me Friday when they get all my details through??? I asked if I had LOU on my policy and they said no but couldnt say anymore til they had my file. She did say its something to do with when I claimed for my horses knee. I told her I havent claimed for his knee but did claim a couple of years ago for a fractured leg. She said oh it must be something to do with that then. I havent a clue whats going on and suppose I will just have to wait and see whats said on Friday but just wanted to ask.... can an insurance company just remove LOU with out you asking?
I was thinking of removing it anyway but Im annoyed as I thought I had it and have never received anything to say otherwise.

Thats really annoying for you! Hope you get everythin all sorted on Friday.

I think the insurance company can take LOU off your insurance. My LOU was taken off my horses insurance, i asked why and they told me to was due to his age. My horse was 17 at the time. Not sure if thats any help

Thanks, she did ask his age. I replied 10 and she just said 'oh'.
A few years ago someone I knew at my old yard had the same first initial and surname as me and when my last horse was PTS she got my letters!! I know cos she texted me to say she was sorry to hear about my horse! Fair does, its an easy mistake to make but Im now wondering whether shes claimed for a knee and theyve mixed us up again???
