Ratcatcher - stock or tie?

If stock should be coloured not white.

Stock is more traditional and has other uses - neck support even a bandage in emergency - yes should be a colour suited to your jacket, not cream or white.

well I have always been taught that a tie was strictly correct when in ratcatcher.
